Jutajaiset is a warm and atmospheric autumn festival in Rovaniemi, celebrating the rich northern traditions of folk dance, folk music, and community culture. In 2026, the festival will take place on October 22–25.

Jutajaiset brings together local and visiting enthusiasts and professionals of folk dance and music to share experiences, learn from one another, and take part in a living cultural tradition. The festival programme centres around workshops, courses, concerts and shared jam sessions, where participation and community are at the heart of the experience.

Rooted in strong traditions, Jutajaiset also embraces renewal. Folk music and dance are approached as living practices that evolve through people, encounters and shared creativity.
